Afnic is announcing its attendance at the Salon des Entrepreneurs trade show in Paris. It will be speaking with VSE and SME managers at its booth over the 2-day event to raise their awareness of the importance of an online presence in boosting their business.

In search of low-cost nTLDs
 
The present study came about based on a dual observation. On the one hand, the proven existence of low-cost strategies where geographic extensions are concerned, and on the other hand, the observation of very similar strategies in new extensions such as .XYZ, famous for having shot up from 0 to 6 million domain names registered in just two years, before settling at just over 2 million today.

The launch of 1,200 new extensions since 2014 has really changed the internet landscape. Although the visibility of long-established players still reigns supreme, certain internet extensions have managed to build their own communities who have adopted their addresses. The more observant will indeed have noticed that new URLs are now being displayed online, in advertisements, on product packaging and on shopfronts.
