As every owner of a French trademark knows, it confers a sole right of exploitation in French territory, for ten years, renewable indefinitely.

Only the holder of the trademark can use it for the products and services covered by it. This sole right also entitles the holder to prosecute any domain name holder reproducing the holder’s trademark identically, near-identically or similarly in ADR.

18 months ago, we published an article (which you can find here) explaining the changes relating to the algorithm of keys used for signing the zones of the top level domains (TLDs) operated by Afnic. In the months that followed, these saw the RSA-SHA256 keys (algorithm number 8, simply referred to as RSA in the rest of this post) replaced by ECDSAP256SHA256 type keys (algorithm number 13, simply called ECDSA below).
