The first edition of the Internet Governance Forum was held in Paris on 10 March. The purpose of the Forum is to improve understanding of the national and international issues related to Internet governance. Some 400 participants attended the event, co-organized by Afnic and key players in the French digital economy. Leading lights and public figures came to take a stand and state their opinions on issues as wide-ranging as network neutrality, Big Data and Cyber Security.
As the association representing the various stakeholders attending the forum, Afnic is proud to have helped organize the first edition of the event. The registry invites all the members of the French Internet ecosystem to continue the discussions on these issues in their consultative bodies.
