The Afnic Foundation announces its 2020 winners promoting an inclusive Internet accessible to all
the first time, the Afnic Foundation has launched two calls for
proposals this year, including one aimed at players in the digital
mediation sector. Of a total of 402 applications received and examined,
the Afnic Foundation selected 68 with a total allocated budget of over
€1 million, including €321,000 for workshops to support
members of the public in their digital learning.
Brands answer the call to the 2nd ‘Cercle des .marque’ event
second edition of ‘Le Cercle des .marque’ (The BrandTLD
Club) event - the forum dedicated to custom domain extensions and open
to brands and their representatives - took place on 5 November. Over
the course of the morning and in 100% online format, the participants
debated the prospects offered by a custom URL in the form of a .brand
.RE is the Top Level Domain for Réunion. It was created on 7
April 1997 and successively managed by the NIC France reporting to the
INRIA, then by Afnic when it started its activities on 1 January 1998.
Our focus in this document will be on presenting the current trends in
the .RE, going back several years to gain perspective.
