The transition of the role of the US government in the management of ICANN is currently the subject of considerable discussion.
Several major steps have just been taken.
Like many others, Afnic has made a number of contributions to the process. In particular, Mathieu Weill, CEO of Afnic, co-chairs the "Accountability" group, one of the three working groups of ICANN in charge of preparing recommendations for the IANA stewardship transition.
